What does a China sourcing agent do?
A China sourcing agent finds and vets manufacturers in China, negotiates price and minimum order quantities, checks quality before goods ship, and arranges freight and customs. Orbit Trading does all of this for New Zealand and Australian businesses, so you deal with one partner instead of factories, inspectors and freight forwarders separately.
Do you work with businesses in both New Zealand and Australia?
Yes. Orbit Trading sources products from China and delivers them directly to warehouses in New Zealand and Australia, handling the freight, customs clearance and last-mile delivery for both countries.
Can you help with minimum order quantities (MOQs)?
Yes. We negotiate MOQs, pricing and terms directly with the factory, in their language, so you can buy at a volume that suits your business rather than the factory's default minimum.
How do you make sure products are good quality before they ship?
Our team carries out on-the-ground checks in China, including pre-production, in-line and pre-shipment inspections against your specification. You receive a photo and written report and sign off before anything is loaded onto a ship.
Do you handle freight forwarding and customs clearance?
Yes. We book and consolidate freight from China, prepare the export and import documentation, arrange customs clearance in New Zealand or Australia, and deliver to your warehouse.
Why buy direct from China instead of through a local distributor?
Buying direct from the factory removes the distributor's markup. Orbit Trading handles the parts that usually make direct importing difficult: MOQs, language barriers, quality control and shipping.
